FINAL: MUSIC VIDEO
Here is the link to my final music video which i have uploaded onto Vimeo.
I am very pleased with how it has turned out, i have challenged the typical codes and conventions of my genre (indie) by centring my video around family relationships rather than romantic ones.

The representations of each character are also unique in that the artist is portrayed with a vulnerable side as well as a stereotypical tough or protective side, and visa-versa with the sister, who is more individual and tough as well as vulnerable.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK: FACEBOOK
I used Facebook to promote my advert and some images from my digipak. It has proved useful in seeing whether the advert would actually be successful in promoting my artist. The positive aspects of using social networking sites for audience feedback are that you receive comments from everyone and anyone. I plan to do this with my music video as well by putting it on Facebook, Vimeo and possibly YouTube.

AUDIENCE FEEBACK: INSTAGRAM
I used a very simple way of collecting audience feedback, through social networking sites.
I used Instagram for some drafts of my digipak to see which styles and images gained the most likes:
Once my digipak was completed i also uploaded a make-shift print out of it to see if my audience liked it as well...

FINAL DIGIPAK - INSIDE PANELS
I thought it would be useful to include an image where the artist is not in the same clothes; to give a more versatile view of him. The artist does appear in this outfit in the video for 'To Be Alone' which makes it recognisable and not just a random image of the artist in a new outfit.
FINAL DIGIPAK - CD PANEL
Here is the middle panel of the digipak which holds the CD, i have chosen to use an image where the artist does not feature because this particular photo adds to the mood of the forrest in my digipak, creating and overall theme throughout the panels.
FINAL DIGIPAK - INSIDE PANELS
This panel will be on the inside of the front cover when the digipak opens up. It is a photo from the 'To Be Alone' video shoot which features on my digipak, so it will be recognisable to anyone who has seen the video.
FINAL DIGIPAK - MESSAGE TO THE FANS
Here is a panel of my digipak which is more personal, as the artist looks out to the viewer with the 'Note to the fans' the mood becomes more intimate because it feels as if he is looking and writing to you.
FINAL DIGIPAK - TRACKLIST
This is the back cover of my digipak, i have included extra songs as the actual record i have taken 'To Be Alone' from is only an EP. I originally gained inspiration from P!NK's album tracklist which has many different fonts but i have made this my own and it fits with the style of my other products.
FINAL DIGIPAK - COVER
Here is my final digipak front cover! I have used my audience feedback through social networking sites such as Facebook and Instagram to help me select the cover which suits my artists style and the tone of my music video.

FINAL POSTER ADVERT!
Here is my final advert for my album, i have taken key codes and conventions from other adverts which i have analysed and applied them to my own advert. I have used synergy with the same fonts and layouts which are on my digipak cover to make a link between the two as i have not used the same image. I think it captures the theme of the album well because the artist is seen alone and looking out to the audience (extra-diagetic gaze) The colours are fairly pastel toned which makes his green hat stand out. The sun beaming onto the artists face gives the advert a natural lighting and not overly-edited like a lot of adverts may be.

TECHNOLOGY
Today i have exported my video to iMovie to continue working on the final footage on my own laptop! This proved quite difficult as the format is different and getting my project from Final Cut Pro to iMovie was rather complicated!
Anyway i managed to finally do it and am now polishing off my final cut!
It has been helpful for me to use a number of different technologies because it has broadened my knowledge and skills on Mac software!

DIGIPAK DRAFTS
I have experimented with the opacity of the background image and with cut-outs to back the tracklist stand out. The masthead font colour differs because i am trying to see which looks better depending on whether it matches the CD cover.

FEEDBACK UPDATE!
Today i issued a very short questionnaire about my second draft of my music video!
My target audience members say:
My target audience members say:
- The narrative now makes more sense
- The lip syncing is more precise
- They like more performance
But i need to:
- Fill in the blanks to complete the narrative
- Revise some of the performance clips and where they are placed
I will take all of these in to consideration for my next and hopefully final draft!! Thank you everyone who gave feedback!!

VIDEO UPDATE
So I had a bit of an issue with my video: whilst i was editing it, the main storyline kept attatching itself to the smaller clips and making it really hard for me to edit.
So i rethought my layout, I have now made my audio the main storyline in my project and all of the clips attatch to that. This is much easier!!
So i have been set back a few paces with the development of my video, however it is going well and i have managed to come up with a new timeline and changed the order of the clips to make my narrative more obvious.
Have a look:
The first minute of my video is basically done. However the rest only includes the performance elements as i am yet to develop the storyline...so there are a lot of gaps!!

VIDEO PRODUCTION UPDATE
Last Saturday i did my final video shoot with my brother and parents for the remainder of my narrative. I have made a spontaneous decision to include more of my artist in the narrative and have made a direct link between him and the young girl in my video. This will ultimately make my video more coherent to the audience straight away. I will upload the next draft of my video as soon as i import my new clips! Meanwhile, here are some pictures from the shoot which i may use for my digipak and poster ad:
These images show my grippy tripod attached to my banister to achieve a point of view shot from the young girl in my video.
