ADVERT RESEARCH

The advert i will create is a poster for my artist's single/album. The general codes and conventions are that it will include:

• the artist
• the song/album name
• the release date
• could feature the CD cover somewhere

The poster could be landscape or portrait and would usually feature in a magazine or at bus stops. As it will mainly feature in these places, i have decided that it will be more appropriate to have a portrait advert.

Here are two types of adverts that appeal to me and would work with my artist:



I like the minimalist design of 'The Verve' however to promote my artist more, one like 'Ed Sheeran' may suit more.


I will create a poll for audience feedback on whether i shall include my arist on the poster or not.
